I have some news for you.
It seems that I will go to Montreal with Director Riccardo Gini.
Tomaso probably will not come in Canada with us.
I am very happy.
A month ago I sent - without much hope - an abstract for a poster.
And the poster has been accepted with title "Surfing by foot: internet to highlight, share, organize, environmental education experience"
This poster will show a possible working network at three levels: local (Parco Nord and schools nearby), regional (the system of protected areas of Lombardy region), a possible international system (greenleaves).
Have you some ideas to suggest me?
Do you think to go to Montreal?

I hope you are not going to receive to comments from me - I wished you Happy New Year and apologised for not responding to your last comment of 19 Jan because of work just happening too fast. I saw that Clare Peddie, a good friend has also joined Green and I told her about the school contact projects that you and I discussed. She has access to a group that deals with Eco Schools in SA and I am thinking that as my other 'partners' are not really responding, if this is not an option to consider. If you want to send her a note maybe you can discuss directly.

It is good to have heard from you and again my apologies for not responding sooner.
Lets stay in touch on this subject and also link Elonora from Italy into the discussion.

Thank you so much for the good wishes for Christmas and 2009 and may I wish you a wonderful and safe festive season too.
This time of year in SA is summer holiday time withe really sunny weather and people traveling to all the holiday destinations in the country. This year I am staying home as I have no leave to take as I have only started with the new job three and a half months ago, so maybe I will take a long holiday in 2009.
Take care of yourself and I look forward to our collaboration in the new year.

Hola Carolina, Como esta? Ahora estoy muy bien. Muchas gracias por la informacion.(and that is where my very bad Spanish ends). There is no need to apologize for your English at all. We know that communication is more than language and GL certainly provides opportunity for us to communicate!!

It is school holidays in South Africa at the moment, so until mid-January it will be difficult to get access to the school but that does not mean that I should do nothing. I can follow up with the people that I have in mind and we can start with initial arrangements.

I am not sure how to start this (maybe we can get Massimo and Eleonora ideas as well). How about getting the schools or a class to introduce (information as to where the school is and what they do etc) themselves? Maybe the school/class can decide if they want to become members of Green Leaves and the contact can happen through this network (it could be nice). A few ideas? Lets talk more about how we can do this.
What about if we take this discussion to the Green Leaves Forum and then Massimo and Eleonora and others can share in the process? What do you think.

Hope you are well! Massimo seems to be rather excited and may I say I would not mind going to Argentina either. It will certainly help my Spanish a bit!
Maybe you can add the Spanish bit to the emails so I can start learning! Just joking.

I spoke to the colleague I want to link to the school in Argentina last night and he seems rather keen but wwe have some logistical challenges as the scholl is really in a deep rural area - I will talk with him again next week and see how we can start putting something together. In the meantime I hope you are doing well and if ever you come to South Africa, please look me up!
Shall I try my Italian and 'steal' Massimo's words when I greet!
